Job Purpose :
This position is responsible for supporting business growth by identifying commercial opportunities, acquiring new customers, and managing customer relationships within the maritime industry. The role also focuses on market analysis, commercial proposal development, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver tug & barge solutions that meet customer needs.
Requirements :
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Maritime Studies, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Business Development, Commercial, Sales, or Account Management, preferably within the shipping, logistics, or maritime industry.
- Good understanding of B2B sales processes, commercial proposal preparation, and customer negotiations.
- Strong market research and business opportunity analysis skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and business partners.
- Proactive, adaptable, and possesses a growth mindset with the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is required; English proficiency, both written and spoken, is an advantage.
Areas of Responsibilities :
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, customer needs, and business opportunities within the maritime and logistics sectors.
- Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, customer engagement, and sales pipeline management.
- Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, and supporting documents tailored to customer requirements.
- Deliver sales presentations, negotiate commercial agreements, and build strong relationships with customers and business partners.
- Collaborate with the Operations and cross-functional teams to ensure proposed solutions align with customer requirements and operational capabilities.
- Monitor customer satisfaction, identify account growth opportunities, and recommend service improvements.
- Prepare reports on commercial activities, business opportunities, and project performance to support business evaluation and decision-making.
